Dr Hang Quach obtained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She completed dual fellowships in clinical and laboratory haematology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. In 2010, she was awarded a higher degree of Doctor of Medicine in Myeloma Immunology by the University of Melbourne.
Dr Quach currently serves as the co-chair of the Myeloma Working Group of the ALLG (Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group), Deputy Chair of the Myeloma Scientific Advisory Group (MSAG) to Myeloma Australia and was a councillor of the Specialist Medical Review Council (SMRC) on multiple myeloma, to the Australian Minister of Veterans' Affairs. She is a member of the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG). Through competitive grants, industry collaborations, and philanthropy, Dr Quach has secured research funding of more than $13 million towards myeloma research and has authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to a book chapter. She is a reviewer for several high-ranking journals, international conference abstracts and competitive grant funding bodies. Her clinical and translational research focuses on novel therapeutics and their impact on the immunology and the microenvironment in multiple myeloma.
