Sumit Madan, MD currently serves as an Associate Professor Adjunct of Myeloma and Lymphoma at the UT Health MD Anderson Cancer Center Texas and is a hematologist and oncologist in the division of Cancer Medicine at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, Arizona treating patients with plasma cell disorders. Dr. Madan received a medical degree from Annamalai University in India. He completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and fellowships at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota; Rush University in Chicago; and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He has authored numerous research articles and book chapters on multiple myeloma and blood cancers. His research interests include identifying novel therapies and combinations in multiple myeloma and serves as the principal investigator on several clinical trials. He is a member of the SWOG myeloma research committee.
