Dr Claudio Cerchione, MD, PhD, is Hematologist and Researcher at Hematology Unit - Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo Studio e la Cura dei Tumori (IRST) IRCCS, where he is Head of Multiple Myeloma Research Program.
He has spent international research experiences in Friedrich-Wilhelms Universität, Bonn, Germany, in Universitade de Coimbra, Portugal, collaborating in their clinical and research projects, and in MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA, where he was nominated International Ambassdor of SOHO (Society of Hematologic Oncology).
He is Editor of several scientific journals, and member of several international societies, including the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO), American Society of Hematology (ASH), European Hematology Association (EHA) and Italian Society of Hematology (SIE).
He is author/co-author of more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed international, presented at national and international congresses.
In 2018/2019 he was nominated by EHA as one of the winners of Clinical Research Training in Hematology.
In September 2021 he has founded SOHO Italy (Society of Hematologic Oncology Italy) of which is co-President.
He is involved in many educational activities at national and international Hematology conferences, either as invited speaker or chairman.
