Roberto Mina is Assistant Professor of Hematology at the University of Torino, Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino, Italy. He studied medicine at the University of Torino and completed his residency in hematology at the same institution. He is involved in the design, development, and coordination of Phase I, II, and III clinical trials for the treatment of multiple myeloma in collaboration with the European Myeloma Network (EMN, EMN Italy Foundation) and the Gruppo Italiano Malattie Ematologiche dell’Adulto (GIMEMA). Currently, Dr Mina serves as local principal investigator, and as an investigator, in several multicentre trials. Dr Mina’s research examines the diagnosis, and the clinical and experimental treatment, of patients with multiple myeloma and associated disorders, with particular focus on high-risk patients. His interests also include the use of new biological molecules, monoclonal antibodies, immunotherapeutic agents, CAR T-cell therapy, and stem-cell transplantation techniques. He is a member of EMN, EHA, and IMS, and he has authored and co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
