Ravi Vij, MD, MBA, is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology, Section of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Leukemia at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He received his medical degree from the University of Delhi, India, He completed a residency in medicine at Rush Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and fellowships in medical oncology/hematology and bone marrow transplantation/malignant hematology/stem cell biology at Washington University. He completed a healthcare MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr Vij’s primary academic interests include the treatment of hematologic malignancies and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with a research focus on zmultiple zmyeloma
He has served on numerous committees including the ASH and ASCO Scientific Committee on Plasma Cell Dyscrasias,,, the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) Core Transplant, Myeloma, and Leukemia Committees; and the The Blood and Transplant Clinical Trials Network (BMT CTN) Myeloma Committee
He is an authored over 250 publications and serves as a reviewer for numerous journals. Dr Vij has also authored a book, Contemporary Management of Multiple Myeloma, as well as several book chapters including, Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Dyscrasias in The Washington Manual of Oncology.
