Since the initiation of her medical career, she has focused on plasma cell disorders, mainly
multiple myeloma, has conducted national clinical trials, has published on these topics and has
participated in multicenter international clinical studies.
Dr Hungria collaborates with the International Myeloma Society with
main responsibilities in the membership committee .
As a Co-founder and Chair of the International Myeloma Foundation Latin America Scientific
Advisory Board, she has contributed to the education of health professionals and patients.
Dr Hungria is a member of the board of directors of Brazilian Association of Hematology,
Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy, also is a member of the Multiple Myeloma Committee of this
association.
She is also a Co-founder and Coordinator of the Brazilian Multiple Myeloma Group (GBRAM).
