Juan Du, M.D., Ph.D., is the director in the Department of Hematology, Changzheng hospital of the Naval Medical University in Shanghai. She is an professor and chief physician worked in Changzheng hospital. Dr. Du completed her M.S. and Ph.D. in hematology & oncology and genetics from Southeast University. She also obtained M.D. from University of Ulm, Germany, in 2007 and supervised by Prof. Hartmut Döhner and Prof. Konstanze Döhner. She conducted research focus on molecular genetics of myeloid leukemia at the Department of Internal Medicine III, University Hospital of Ulm and the Comprehensive Cancer Center Ulm. In 2008, she joined the Division of Hematology, Changzheng hospital. Following her long-standing interest in both basic and clinical research interests in understanding the role of the myeloma stem cell biology and the development of multiply myeloma, she is currently taken charge four major research areas and supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and sponsored by Shanghai Pujiang Program. In 2012, she obtained the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) Special Research Grant, and rewarded the IMF again in 2016. She is the member of international myeloma working group (IMWG) and expert in Asia Myeloma Network (AMN). She has published over 10 research papers such as Blood, Leukemia, Haematologica, etc.
