Ingvild Bergdal Mestvedt has a MSc in molecular medicine from NTNU (Trondheim, Norway), and is now a PhD student at the Institute for clinical and molecular medicine at NTNU. She is investigating the effects of cell-penetrating peptides derived from the SLAMF1 protein on the proliferation and survival of multiple myeloma cells. The overall goal of her research is to better understand myeloma pathogenesis and finding novel treatment options for the treatment of multiple myeloma.
